NO PEOPLE.

Don’t book the room. Take the place.

Exclusive-use hospitality changes the product from a better room to control over who else is there.

Luxury usually means a better room: a larger suite, a quieter floor, a better view. But there is another option — remove the other guests.

Entire hotels, resorts and private retreats can sometimes be reserved for the exclusive use of one group. Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, for example, publicly describes a complete-hotel “Exclusive” format. Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru in the Maldives also markets an exclusive private-island buyout.

The upgrade is not another amenity. It is absence.

What does it remove?Other guests. Shared spaces. Compromise.

What’s the catch?

Availability, minimum stays, exclusivity fees and the precise areas included vary by property. Confirm current terms directly with the operator.
