Private terminal vs airport lounge.
A lounge changes where you wait. A true private VIP airport service can change the route through the airport.
At Heathrow, ordinary lounges sit within the terminal journey. Heathrow describes The Windsor differently: guests avoid the main terminal, use a private lounge, pass through private security and immigration, and travel to the aircraft in a private vehicle.
That distinction is the whole LESS idea. A better chair and better food are upgrades. A different passenger flow is a structural change.
When comparing premium airport products, look beyond the word “VIP”. Ask which parts of the ordinary airport process actually disappear: public check-in, shared security, immigration queues, terminal walking, gate waiting or none of them.
What’s the catch?
Eligibility, airline or cabin requirements, operating hours, advance booking and price can be substantial. The exact process also varies by airport and by whether you are departing, arriving or connecting.
